The Calibre Graduate Development Program (CGDP) aims to identify, develop and broaden the skills, knowledge and competencies of our graduate engineers so that they are able to realise their full potential.

To give our graduates the opportunity to satisfy the requirements for Chartered Status, the CGDP has been aligned with the Engineers Australia’s Professional Development Program. All graduates, irrespective of discipline, are expected to attain this professional accreditation through the CGDP within 4 years of commencement with Calibre.

The CGDP aims to capture graduates who are commencing their professional employment post-graduation. As such, only employees who have less than three 3 years experience since graduation are eligible to participate.

Calibre regards the CGDP as a foundation program for successful job performance and longer term career progression. The program is designed to develop a core set of professional competencies in graduates of all disciplines through varied work-based experience and on the job learning which is linked to and supported by Engineers Australia's endorsement of Chartered Accreditation.

Calibre offers Graduate Engineers a flexible rotational program, where graduates can become competent in the following areas:

  • Design Engineering;
  • Construction and Commissioning;
  • Estimating/Scheduling;
  • Commercial/Contracts and Project Controls;
  • Health, Safety, Environment and Quality; and
  • Project Management.
